This is my 7th post in my MLB In Detail post series this April. The Marlins have really began to rebuild since last year. They got some new better additions. They got ex-Red Sox catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia last year. This year they’ve added on ex-Yankees Ichiro Suzuki and Martin Prado. They are definitely plenty of players on the Marlins to help. Giancarlo Stanton is an all star. Dee Gordon should be good on his first year. Mat Latos will help the rotation. They also got Don Kelly from the Tigers, another key addition. So the Marlins might not be so bad after all. If all of they’re best guys do their job, and well, the Marlins might just possibly have their first year above .500 in a while. The Marlins might just get out there and surprise everybody by doing well. Some people even think the Marlins will get 2nd place in the NL East, behind only the dominant Washington Nationals. My prediction for the Marlins is different than those predictions though. I predict that the Marlins will come in 4th place in the NL East, with a 75-87 record, being ranked 24th overall. The Marlins could be much better this year than they have been in past years. They have plenty of new players that will help them do so, so I have confidence in the Marlins this year. Not as much confidence as some other people have, but maybe they’ll surprise me this year.
