In Detail:Atlanta Falcons

This is my 14th post in my NFL in detail post series this September. The rising Falcons had a lousy year last year going only 4-12 but this year is time for a rebuild. Julio Jones, Roddy White and Matt Ryan will lead the Falcons offense to a victorious season but the defense will hold the team back being the only concern left. The Falcons had made the playoffs in 2012 and dominated and the last few years before it they had been a hot team especially on offense and that is what they’ll be again in a couple of years. My prediction for the current Falcons though is to be in 3rd place in the NFC South with a
7-9 record being ranked in the 19 position overall where as last year I ranked them 26. That’s seven slots higher in the rankings and it will be a huge difference. Roddy White, Julio Jones and Matt Ryan are ready for amazing seasons and with that trio found healthy along with Sean Weatherspoon on defense, the Falcons offense will rule and defense will be decent improving greatly from last year’s collapse and then rebuild in the last three weeks. Those last couple of games last season showed how good the Falcons really are and this season, they’ll play like that all season.

Fantasy Week 2 Power Rankings

1.Andrew’s Hunters:2-0-Became 2-0 in a comeback on Monday night vs Ryan’s Lions

2.Max:1-1-Was upset by Justin’s Warriors who made some wise moves moving their bench that did amazing to the starting lineup to score 90 points.

3.Fluffy:1-1-Team Kelleher upset them to get a 2-0 record

4.Team Kelleher:2-0-I can’t believe this team is 2-0 after facing Fluffy

5.Ryan’s Lions:1-1-Zach Ertz scored no touchdowns and they struggled to keep up Monday night

6.Justin’s Warriors:1-1-Nice moves with the lineup. It’s either that Justin made good moves or that Andrew’s Hunters are superstars.

7.Green Eggs and Graham:1-1-Nice performance by this team in Week 2

8.James/Paul:1-1-Scored record in a game 135 points vs the Krazy Kens

9.Krazy Kens:1-1-Struggled greatly vs James/Paul and should have started the Patriots defense.

10.Joe & Larry:0-2-What happened to them vs Josh?

11.Josh:1-1-Upset Joe & Larry and almost beat the Krazy Kens for a near 2-0 record.

12.Ryan Jennings:0-2-With the loss of Adrain Peterson, they’re in big trouble.

In Detail:Cleveland Browns

This is my 13th post in my NFL in detail post series this September. Can the Browns really do that much better with future star quarterback Johnny Manziel? Not as much as I thought back in May after the draft. I had said Manziel will be more NFL ready than any other rookie. Now I’d say that Sammy Watkins is the most NFL ready and that Johnny Football will be good, but it will take a few weeks before he’s ready to be called Cleveland’s starter. Ben Tate and Josh Gordon when he’s back are going to be main targets of Hoyer that will lift the Browns. My prediction for the Cleveland Crew is to be in 4th place in the in the AFC North with a 8-8 record while being ranked in the 20 position overall. I think Johnny Football is screwed this year, but he next couple of years will be a different story. Will Cleveland be a contender, not for a while but he could get over the .500 mark and maybe even into 2nd place in the AFC North.

In Detail:Washington Redskins

This is my 12th post in my NFL in detail post series this September. The Redskins had a horrible season last year, going 3-13, but I think coach Jay Gruden and former Eagle DeSean Jackdon can change that. One thing Gruden said is that Robert Griffin III should not be the starting quarterback and that Kirk Cousins should start instead, but I totally disagree. I say that Robert Griffin III is going to be a record breaking superstar and he is the obvious starter over Kirk Cousins. I also think that the Redskins is a very offensive name to native Americans and that they should become the Washington Senators. I believe DeSean Jackson will have a record breaking season along with obvious starting quarterback Robert Griffin III. My prediction for the newly built 2014-15 Washington Redskins is that they will be in 3rd place in the NFC East with a 7-9 record being ranked in the 21st slot overall. The Redskins have big things coming, really big things and by the 2016-17 season, I suspect they will win the division and be a common playoff contender along with the Atlanta Falcons.

In Detail:New York Jets

This is my 11th post in my NFL in detail post series this September. The Jets have pretty much also lost it on defense, but an offense filled with Eric Decker, Chris Ivory, Geno Smith and Michael Vick. This season may be slightly better for the Jets, but they have many weaknesses like last year. I think it’s pretty funny that he Jets got the Eagles backp quarterback, Michael Vick and the Eagles got the Jets backup quarterback, Mark Sanchez. My prediction for the Jets is that they will be in a tie for 2nd place in the AFC East with a 8-8 record and being ranked in the 22 slot overall. I think at this point the New York Giants may be as good if not better again than the New York Jets, although the 1-0 Jets record and the 0-1 Giants record does not show that. The Jets will have a decent season, but I agree with Rex Ryan that 8-8 is not enough to do something big this season and I predict that they will go 8-8.
