The Red Sox defeated the Blue Jays 14-1 with two home runs by Big Papi,one Mike Napoli home run and one by Stephen Drew.They got a season high of hits and runs and have won 8 of the last 9 with a 5 game winning streak.Jon Lester was rumored yesterday to be traded to the Mariners.The Phillies also have a nice salary,maybe we could trade Lester for Cole Hamels.But clearly Andrew Miller is the most wanted Red Sox player by far.But the trade deadline is July 31st so I don’t know if the Red Sox have enough time o think about it.Other rumors said they could get David Price or Miguel Cabrera or even Giancarlo Stanton.We could bring up Henry Owens try him out as a starter and maybe try and get Jose Abreu for Lester and Miller.The Red Sox are now in 4th half a game ahead of Tampa Bay and 7 games out with a 47-52 record.They’re 9-6 in the last 15 and are 11-9 in their last 20.If the season ended today,Oakland,Detroit,Baltimore,the Angels and Seattle would be in the playoffs along with San Francisco,Washington,Milwaukee,the Dodgers and Atlanta.The Red Sox continue to impress in the 2nd half while I still predict a second half comeback.
